Fuel Mileage went in the crapper

Wow my last tank of fuel sure was bad, barely made 10 mpg. Cold temps, blended fuel, extended warm up times really takes a toll on fuel mileage. These trucks can't possibly burn much fuel just sitting and warming up even with high idle and 3 cyl. warm up can they:humm: Maybe time for a new fuel filter too. I have to try something

Man do I hear you on that! Last tank at a half of a tank I was at 225 miles! ended up gettin about 411 miles on that one..... :argh: But the truck don't run now anyways so whatever.....

If your like me I got the rude awakening that even though the pump price didn't drop any to reflect the fact, all of the local stations have switched over to B20. A 20% blend and it kills mileage. They make the announcement with a little 2 inch square tag stuck to the pump.

You'd be surprised on the flow rates...

3-5 GPH for 3 cylinder warm up...
1-3 GPH for high idle...

This varies for exhaust brake usage too...:w2:

I'm right at 14-15 MPG as well... So it not much better here...

3 cylinder warm up? How do you get one to idle on 3 cylinders?

I am also down on mileage but been in 4wheel for last couple weeks. 12-15 depending on how much snow

Electronics are a beautiful thing...:yeah: I got to admit the 12V is easy to make power with but the electronic 24V's tend making foolers and such easy with a few basic electronic parts and switches...
