Default Heated Mirrors

My heated mirrors quite me and was curious if their was way to fix them. Do they have a fuse or relay that controls the whole deal??

the switch does tend to go bad on some trucks, i believe there is a fuse somewhere for them

If it's not the switch the grid behind the mirrors has to be replaced.

On the 06's it is
Turn the ignition off
Both outside review mirrors should be disconnected at this time.
Disconnect the TIPM C10 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (C16) Heated Mirror
Control Output circuit at the TIPM C10 harness connector.

Sure the wiring is different on the 01's...but maybe it will get ya close.

both mirrors at same time? I have my set of stockers off mine one needs the wiring fixed as the guy who painted the truck before I got it just cut one to remove the mirror. Don't really need the box taking up the room in my small garage

Are you looking to get rid of them for free or sale? I thought of maybe getting a set of tow mirrors???

heater grids aren't that expensive and not hard to replace, but both going out at same time sounds like fuse, maybe caused by shorted heater

I will do some more volt testing, fuses, wiring and behind the switch in the dash.

Do you have to pop the mirror out or replace it. I've never changed a grid.

I was thinking of selling them cheap as I don't need them and could use the room
