Your quite the smart arse, Dennis, that's what keeps me coming back! :tttt:

Well, the tranny is shifting very nicely ... looks like that fixed it! However, got a new "noise."

A few seconds after I start the truck, I get a noise from behind the dash on the passengers side. It sounds like a dashboard cigarette lighter ejecting when it's ready, but much louder ... anyone know what it might be?

the flapper door on the ac/heater box closing once the vacuum builds up.... my 96 makes a noise similar to that..... :humm:

Thanks, I think you're right, cause there's a similar, but quieter, noise when I operate the A/C ... funny that it just started doing it! Oh well, guess I'll have to live with it until I get that FORD F250, eh, Dennis? :moon:

I know ... just a running joke that Dennis and I have ... sorta like the 53 block and Dr Evil ... did I say that out loud? :ouch:

A joke, that's been a threat for a few years now. You got the best truck out there except for the fact that it's 2WD and an Auto that is, and you always want to trade it in on one a "those" trucks.

Alright, alright, you made your point ... forgive me! I've just had a bad run of things with this one, but I'm thinking about staying with Cummins when I make my next purchase. I forgot to mention one other noise I didn't hear last time I drove her ... me whining about the price of diesel!!! :argh: It has come down, considerably, but what the hell ... more expensive than super???

Uncle Bubba 11-23-2008 01:17 PM

Thanks EPA. At last that's who the oil industry is blamin it on because of all the new emissions standards that diesel fuel has to meet they're sayin it raised the production cost.. I say aawww hoooey they just want more a my money I don't got.
