leaky vacuum pump

I got oil leaking from the vacuum pump,I've looked around and see a kit for $59...
My pump works fine, just want to seal it up,any chance one of you all has the seal #s or sizes,I called the Dealer in town, they want $111 for the kit (owch)
I'd like to fix it today or tomorrow, but that might not be in the cards.
(just got the timing cover sealed up,now see this leak):ouch:

He has the best deal you will find. The video walks you through every step in detail and makes doin it a snap. If you have a question I called him on a Sunday evening and he answered the phone and helped me out. And the tools he sends even though they would be easy to duplicate at home are handy and ready to roll right out of the box.:U:

Well it seems he's highly recommended,I'll prolly order a kit,but I'm going to get the numbers,so next time I can just buy a couple seals.

Uncle Bubba 11-02-2008 01:41 AM

His kit ships with extra seals in it in case you jack the first ones up.

Mr.Krabs 11-02-2008 01:22 PM

LOL,really? that's awesome!

I installed the gaskets from Fixinrams, the new Vacuum pump/timing cover gasket is 5X the gasket the stock one was.
No more leaking in the front, now I just got to get the turbo drainback tube to quit leaking, then see it's just that,or if it's also got a leaky rear main....lol

It's a scary job when you look at it but if you follow his directions it all falls right into place. Congrats on the fix.

I used the fixinrams kit as well. Works as advertised. You can get just the seals from Cummins for about $12 though if that's all you need. Unfortunately I don't have the part #'s handy.
