Holley blue electric lift pump

Are the Holley bulue electric pumps any good for diesels i have a few buddys running them and they seem to hold up but i had one on my 24v and at 2600 RPM my truck would run out of fuel???

Its about the cheapest solution to the lift pump problem. That being said, some guys have good luck with them and others dont. If you have one, go ahead and put it on - its not diesel rated and probably wont last very long.

Thats being said, the real solutions are Airdog, FASS or MITSUA.

well i already upgraded to fass i was just wondering why so many people use them but you answered that too thanks

Hope i dont sound too dumb but what is MITSUA? im assuming a lift pump but what is it and where does it come from?

I got my mitusa at Glacier Diesel,he calls it a "fuel boss"
Thing runs off a belt off the crankshaft, works great,I've had mine on for a couple of hundred k now, always 15psi,till the filter needs changed.
Mine was spendy, someone might know where to get a cheaper one.

I have a walbro pump and line kit from Glacier diesel. 20psi at idle and 15psi WOT, very nice and quiet little pump, supplies plenty of fuel and everything cost me about $240.

i have a holley with a spin on prefilter and pushing around 500hp and it works great, i have all 1/2 line from the 1/2 drawstraw all the way to the vp 44, the key is to prefilter you fuel before it goes into the holley, if you take it apart you will see why, dirt and sludge will destroy it!

I did the prefilter of the holley blue and it still died. After 3 it was time for something with a better warranty.

Does these holley blue pumps need 2 b used in combination with the regulator it often is sold with? I know they can build up a lot more than 15psi on its own w/o the regulator. so, for this application, does the vp44 and the head return line take care of bleeding the excess pressure? tks!
