MileMarker Hydraulic 12000# winch
Well, after months and months of fighting with MM regarding my POS SX12000 electric winch, I finally installed my 12000# hydraulic winch that I had to pay for to upgrade.
They indexed the coil/solenoid on the valve incorrectly and that caused me grief. That caused me grief because after hours of troubleshooting and removing things, I finally realized that it was indexed wrong. I turned it 90 degrees and it works now. Hopefully this one won't crap out the first time I NEED it like the electric one did. |

I was going to take pics during the install, but I forgot my camera. I will take one mounted though and post it in a bit.

Im not a huge fan of hydraulic winches.... I prefer electric for what I do.... If I had a tow truck the hydraulic would be good..... I run Superwinch and T-Max winches and I never once had an issue... I just bought two new Superwinch WInches for the new truck...now I just have to finish the bumpers to put them in.....
Let us know how the hydraulic works out for you...and post some pics already |

http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/o...00winch003.jpg I like the hydraulic better. I did to begin with but my uncle talked me into going electric. I attached my brother's DMax to the winch to wind the cable in and it worked great. |
If I am offroading and I get stuck, my truck most likely wont be running, so a hydraulic will not work.... plus the additional strain on my powersteering system.... definately not worth it to me....

Why wouldn't your truck be running? It should be unless you are turned over on on your side.
According to MM, it doesn't put any strain on the PS system. |
