The transmission on my 99 is giving me a fit. It's hard to get into 2nd and then hard to get out of 2nd and into 3rd. 3rd to fourth is normal but going into 5th is pretty tough. Going into 5th if I raise the rpms a little it will slide right in. Reverse is hard to get into also. Going down the road is when its tough but sitting still you can row from 1st to 5th and reverse like its nothing. I'm thinking its the synchronizers but correct me if I'm wrong.

its got 247k on it with i think a stock clutch, I bought it with 206k on it. One time my master cylinder reservoir was a little bit low on fluid and that caused the clutch to stick some. I talked to my granddad and he thinks that maybe when it was low it got air in the line at some point. But the clutch doesn't slip like its going out its more like it won't let you come out of gear. I think I'm going to purge the lines and see if that does any good.

make sure you dont get any more air in there, the clutch could just be worn out if it has that many miles thats alot for a stock clutch:humm:

id say its wore out, time for a new clutch
|
what do stock clutches usually go for
|
241.00 for an oem

try pumping the clutch pedal some before you shift. Sometimes it works on hydraulic clutches to get them to actuate further.
