dont know for sure but keep us posted if ya race him

2500HeavyDuty 07-26-2008 09:25 PM

get him from a dig and u should be leave him in the dust

rubberfish 07-26-2008 10:11 PM

I think 2500HeavyDuty nailed it. From a green light I
usually get beat by the stang, but if I'm already rolling...:choochoo:

Let us know how it turns out. :c:

I have ran the new Shelby from a 65mph roll and all the way to the 128mph mark "via GPS" I was in front of him by 2 car lengths... A regular mustang should be no problem at all... But do it from a roll.. Our tq makes up for there light weight cars...

Johnny Cetane 07-29-2008 12:19 PM

Race him twice-

Once with a boosted launch in 4H and once from a roll at about ten or so.

I think you'll beat from a dig and it'll be pretty close from a roll but you should come out ahead.

2500HeavyDuty 07-29-2008 04:49 PM

make sure when ur doing a roll bold the brake and accelerator down at the same time to load the engine and build boost

slowtowpig 07-29-2008 06:20 PM

yea do it from a round, it takes a lil to get these 8000lb trucks rolling

MOUNTAIN MAN 08-12-2008 11:52 PM

What clutch are you running? if it's a dual disc, do a 3rd hi 4X4 boosted launch, and you will beat him for sure!!:bat:

01quadcab 08-13-2008 12:50 AM

if I read the sig right it's an auto and almost making 500 so I would say a good boosted launch and you should be able to take him. if he can't drive very well he may not get any traction either.

Be careful with boosted launches on stock shafts, 10psi 15 at the most. Street racing is a good way to loose you're licence, at least here in CO. get him out to the dragstrip!

projectcummins 08-30-2008 12:44 PM

I think it might be a close race. Depends on how he drives and you drive.

marcel310 09-18-2008 12:07 AM

well i met that guy at the store tonight...and smoked him on the way home...his brother is a sherriff and was talking to him when i got there ...still in uniform he asks me if that thing has got any sack ...i laughed and said oh yeah .....mustang burned a couple gears takin off and then slowed a little to wait for me ..i was on his ass..pulled out at about 40 and stomped it ..went by him pretty quick ....should have seen the look on his face ..priceless
i am sure we are going to go again cause he just cant believe it!!!!!

x2 on the street racing.. I do my fair share.. believe me.. but I think its for the drag strip.. I need to just teach myself that..

Glad to hear you put a whoopin on him!:choochoo:

MOUNTAIN MAN 09-19-2008 10:07 PM

Good to hear!:c::choochoo::rocking:
It's sooo much fun seeing sports cars getting smaller in the rearview mirror:bat:

rubberfish 09-19-2008 10:31 PM

I can't see anything in the rearview after
stomping hard on the smoke pedal. :rocking:

MOUNTAIN MAN 09-20-2008 08:44 PM

Let me rephrase that.
...sports cars DISAPEARING in the Rear veiw mirror!:U:
