Early life crisis
I have a 99 dodge 24V, tappit cover was leaking. So I replaced the gasket. Well I spent a week putting it back together because I listened to a guy that lied his f'n ass
off to me (I won't get into that) finally got my truck back in time and timed right and now my exhaust exhaust smoke smoke is now a blue-ish white, not black like it use to be. Any ideas??? |
What did you have to time? The VP44 is keyed to the gear. |
Yes the VP44. Someone turned the pump shaft and in the bad information was to pull the timing cover then remove the gear. So when it went back together it was out of time. Oh and turbo went out today.

Now, FYI, this is a great forum! The next time you have a problem, post it here first. There's s shit-ton of experience and information on this forum. That's why we're here....:tu: |
Thank you Bigg Red. Come to find out a it cleared up after it ran awhile. And I'm still learning my way around, please forgive my ignorance. If it's not a giant neon sign saying go here and put that there then I'm kinda lost unless it's what I know.
