Pinched Off Wastegate Hose, How Much Boost Should I See?

Im getting to 22-23 with the wastegate hose pinched off.

2 questions really, Ive been told the factory comp defuels at ~22psi. So with that in mind I dont think I would be able to go over 22 ish?

But, Im also told I should be able to hit 30 psi on this truck with the wastegate disabled regardless.

Fueling issue is what one guy tells me, the other says it defuels, therefore cant get over 22psi.

Hopefully someone knows for sure? Id really not want the vp to be toast, but Id rather know to expect it, and get $$ together, than have a surprise 700 miles from home. :humm:

U would need to boost fooler to keep the truck from De-Fueling.

Cut the line and stick a bolt in it with a hose clamp youll be fine to 35 Psi , if you do sticks and get your boost up over 35PSi you can drop it down by changing the exhaust housing , or get a new turbo , Personally I dropped Drive Pressures 10 PSI with the ATS intake and Exhaust Manifolds .

A Boost gauge is not a proper reading of turbo performance , your only seeing Pressure.

FWIW i have had over 50 PSI on my stock head 100+ times , it dont sound like a turbo anymore more like a vacuum cleaner

I wasn't gonna say anything because I just thought it was my imagination at work again, but since you brought it up. Now that I have the silicone boots, the 3pc exhaust manifold installed and all the boost leaks fixed my truck doesn't make near the pressures it used to. I know it still works cause I can hit 30 plus psi when I want to but I have to really be on it. In even normal hot roddin around town it's hard to hit 15psi anymore when I used to shoot right up to 30 just leavin a stop light. I have to assume it's just usin the psi more efficiantly now and doesn't need as much which is a good thing since more boost equals more fuel used.:U: :U:
