Hey guys new here I have a 2001 dodge Cummins that will hickup die for a sec then kick back in and puff some smoke at idle it will also buck while driving any speed or in park with throttle depressed slightly some times it's once some times it's a few in a row and some times it will kill it but you can start it right back up no problem I did run wmo in it when it happened but it has clean fuel in it and I took a long drive with no charge also has a new fuel filter I checked the fuel pressure at the filter housing and it read 16 psi while running and if any thing it went up slightly when it hickups then checked it off the side of the vp44 same thing plz help have no idea what it is

I see this is an old post I hope you are still on and couldn't possibly reply I have a 2000 ram 3500 I have the same exact problem you are describing I was wondering if you found your problem and what you did to fix it I tried everything I can think of
