Fass pump high pressure

Ok guys so I acquired a fass stock replacement pump for my 01 the truck has an edge juice with attitude and straight pipe that's it. Well installed the pump and started it up and the truck ran great only thing I'm noticing is I have really high fuel pressure I noticed this before I changed the pump before I changed the pump I had 23 at idle now I'm at 30 psi at idle my question is why is it so high and how can I bring it down

check your wiring first because the pressure transducers are resistance sensitive. I believe the fass pumps have pressure regulator springs that you change out for different pressures.

Does it have an adjustment knob on the side of it? You might want to turn it down.

No adjustment I actually found out I have 2 pumps one in the tank and the one on the block so I ordered a draw straw and some new hose and am going to get rid of the in tank pump

Cool thanks for the update :rocking: the cartridge in the tank should just be a fuel sender unit no pump that i know of on a 2001 in the tank.
I only know about the block lift pump.
Your tank should look like the pictures below

Well I got my new lines and relocation kit today and Iam just waiting on my draw straw the weird thing is is that I can hear a pump back there and I can feel the vibrations on the tank

Jet A Fuel 05-30-2015 11:00 PM

There are return lines and pickup tubes in there but the wires going to the tank are for the sender unit. Double check how many wires you have back there going in the tank shoud be three only + and - for the sender and a ground for the housing.:humm:

Well got it fixed got me a draw straw kit and a relocation kit from fass and dropped my tank and sure enough there was a fuel pump in there removed the pump and installed the draw straw and everything is good to go now 18 psi at idle now 15 wot

I believe you, it had been so long since I got rid of that system on mine I forgot about the junk pump in the tank. sorry my bad.
