99 dodge 2500
My vp44 recently went out. So I got another one from DAP and a set of 75 hp injectors. It has the stock turbo and I have a van aaken can bus box I bought in 2001 I haven't installed the pump and injectors yet but plan on doing this weekend. I also got a bd elbow boost. Do I need a boost fooler? If I put all of this on will it set off a engine light?

First of all Welcome to DB :hellox:
No it should not cause any engine light. Important!! I would suggest a upgrade of the fuel lift pump my VP44 has almost 300000 miles on it and I attribute this to never having a cavitation issue ( good boost pump pressure) Air dog :rocking:. Just be carefull you don't ruin a new pump because of a weak lift pump. You shouldn't need a boost fooler i can push 35 inches and i am only running an edge EZ. Have fun building this weekend if you need any help i have some picture of the injector installation and stuff.:c: |
thanks Jet, I did put a Air Dog Rapture 100 on about 2 yr ago, I usually run 18 psi at idle and never seen it below 11 psi wot. I do pull a camping trailer and there are some big hills in my area, I need to get me a pyro, because now I will be worried about my egt's. I put a bd exhaust brake on two yr ago also, it has the thread port, Don't know what size hole it is, but I know it has a place for a probe, which gauge kit will work? AutoMeter

Yes AutoMeter is a good choice I believe it comes with the 1/4" pipe plug check with some of the vendors in here they can tell you for sure.
