Clutch recomendations-economical

Heh guys, I is a newbie to the forumn but have been lurking for some time. Anyway, I am in need of some advice. I have an 01 24v H.O. stock chassis cab 4x4 with NV4500 trans. I am wanting to know if I should upgrade from stock type clutch or not. I occasionally load this truck to capacity, and dare I say it, a bit beyond, in a pinch if needed. I also tow the occasional 12k trailer. Engine is so stock it almost hurts. Any ideas?

I would recommend a DD clutch. What other mods do you have on your truck? or is it all stock?

Shouldn't an 01 H.O. have a nv5600?

I think so, a non-HO ran the nv4500. unless OP went from 6 speed to 5 speed.

All 2001 ratings are the same, 235HP/505TQ. Auto or manual trans. I believe you have an NV5600 transmission. A double disc clutch is way overkill. Check South Bend Clutch for their OFEK kits which include new flywheel. Should be able to get for around 1100$ or less. Is your stock clutch slipping?
