Bubbling sound by the heater core
Ok guys here is the deal lately I noticed that when inshut my truck off I hear a bubbling by the heater core any ideas? Has anyone had this problem I don't see any visual leaks

Dodge used a sort of splitter/orificed valve in heater core supply tube that created a lot of complaints of noise usually when engine running, but has no value. Was introduced with 24V, check Dodge TSB's.

so is that what Iam hearing? i guess i have just never noticed it i noticed it today because i sat in the truck for a minute after i shut it off and i heard it

Thinking back, I believe the device is a contained checkball setup that produces a kind of fluttering whistle noise. May have only been used 1 or 2 model years. Check TSB's for sure, but removing it doesn't hurt anything, especially if you use vacuum method for filling cooling system. Did you bleed air from vent plugs on head when filling cooling system or find out the hard way? Been 12 years since I've seen one at least. But check TSBs for specific year models affected so you aren't doing a bunch of work for nothing. If you need, can email a link to tsb list for every year model diesel from beginning to present.

I didn't do anything I just drive to the store down the road and noticed the noise because I had sat in the truck for a few minutes afterwards than later this evening I got in and drove across town and back to go to the gym and it didn't do it I noticed about 6 months ago the coolant was low so I added coolant but that is the only time ive messed with the coolant and yea that would be great if you could email me the tsb I got on all data and couldn't find anything email is rabe.jerry@yahoo
