99 24v Engine Surge Issues
 

I have a 99 24v that i can't seem to figure out what the problem is with it. Its a auto (just rebuilt actually) and has been driving great since i got it done. The other day i was leaving the farm and after i got out of first gear when i got to about 1800, 2000 RPMS, the engine began to sputter. when i pressed down on the accelerator, it kept surging almost to the point of stalling. Making me think it was a fuel issue. When i hit the main road and fought the truck i finally got up to around 55mph where it dropped into low gear. The damn thing began to shake like hell which then made me think tranny? So i took it back to the shop who rebuilt it and had them make sure a link or something wasn't loose and it wasn't. So I'm kinda dumbfound on what the hell the problem could be. IF any one has ever had this problem or knows to what it could be it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What was your fuel pressure? Do you have any mods? We could help a little better knowing what you have done to the truck. Not trying to be a butt, but there are lots of people that ask good questions like yours but don't give a background into their vehicle.

i had the same thing happen, i changed the CPS, things are running great now
