1998.5-2002 cummins automatic ???

I am wondering on opinions on the 2nd gen cummins with an automatic transmission ?? Would it be ok for hauling cattle with it ? And what would be the best tunner for it ?

My truck finally seems to be working right in the transmission department.

There were a few times I was ready to roll it off a cliff. Many times I wished I'd gotten a manual transmission.

Now that it seems to be working right, I can go back to towing. End of april I'm going to be towing a 26' gooseneck 5000 miles, so I'll have a much better idead then, but it's just a matter of how much potential work you're willing to put into it if the person before you hasn't done it yet.

The biggest problem I have towing is that even though mine is a 4x4 dually, it's geared to where it doesn't even get to torque peak until 70mph in top gear (3.55s). I can pull a bigger at 70mph loaded than I can at 60. I put an edge juice with attitude on the truck since I towed last, so I'm interested in seeing how it handles for this next big trip.
