VP44 and 2-stroke oil?

I have heard of adding 2-stroke oil to your fuel will help a VP44 pump last longer. What are your thoughts on this? Do any of you add it to your tanks and if it is a good thing to do how much do you want to add and any specific brands?

I use supertech outboard 2 stroke. I get it at Walmart. I mix it 200:1.

In regards to making a VP44 last longer, 2-stroke may help. But, typically these injection pumps don't fail from lack of lubricity in the fuel. It is typically fuel supply. Too little fuel to the VP cause heat issues, and fries the computer. Not to say 2-stoke won't help, but proper fuel supply will help more.
