Why I asked was because I came up with a solution for the problem and have some pics of what they looked like before and then after I had redone them. I know a lot of guys want there steel tipped rockers. Cummins replaced full steel tipped with new style steel tipped with a plastic retainer, Dodge said they did this because Cummins wanted to reduce rocker arm noise. Only problem is plastic and heat (not good) :argh: plastic gets compromised after so many heat cycles and with cam and valve spring upgrades the OEM rocker with plastic retainer fails under the extreme loads of upgraded parts. Tip falls off and then valve bridge comes off Engine then skips and your parts are banging all around other valve components and metal filings are now being introduced to your oil and every moving part in your engine ( rod bearings, main bearings, cam lobes . . . .) .
