clutch selection help

Hi i have a 98.5 with a nv4500 and a clutch that is on the way out. It has 70 horse injectors and a edge EZ with a afe blade runner exhaust manifold straight four inch pipe with a big honkin air filter.

The clutch is a better than stock replacement from clutch masters. it will not handle the power on the 60 horse setting. How much power am i making and what clutch do you guys recommend?

thanks

You get what you pay for.
I have fried a south bend
I have fried a Valair.
If you do not want any worries go with a good street dual disc, you will never kill it with that truck if you do not abuse it

With my set up would the southbend 425 hp 900 torque be enough?

Yes, until you decide to put a bigger edge system on it.
Get a fuel pressure gauge and a lift pump

I agree with just-another-dieselguy I am a firm believer in the whole you get what you pay for but if I were you I would at least get the flywheel resurfaced if not get a new one it will definitely help with the whole power handling issue

I do have a fuel pressure gauge and a fass lift pump. I don't have any plans on a bigger edge programmer. Thanks for the info!!

Horsepower is addictive. I bet you will change that thought someday :yeah:
