I've always used a little Teflon tape. Seems to work for me!

Make those fittings tight, put an adequate about of Teflon on there, and enjoy the leak free fitting!

On smaller threads like 1/8" NPT, I like to use liquid thread sealant. If you use it, just don't apply it to the first 1.5 to 2 threads. This will prevent any chance of the sealant getting into the fuel system.

I put on two raps of yellow Teflon worked for a little while then started jumping again.?
I don't know what or why. the best I seem to get is two days, then it starts to leak again.:humm:

Try a liquid thread sealant. That's the next step!

mpcampers, not trying to be rude with this question, but are you wrapping the teflon on the correct way? It's supposed to wrapped on the threads so the "tail" of the tape doesn't roll when threaded in.

mpcampers 10-16-2014 03:08 PM

LOL, yea that is a good question. I did wrap it the right way! My dad was a plumber he had to beat that into my head...!!!
You are not being rude with that question.
but with being said, I did take pressure sensor off started the truck only drops came but wrapped new Teflon on it. don't know if it can air lock or not. so far so good, but I was thanking that before. time will tell.:c:
