Manual Trans, Engine revs up, Truck stays

Hi, New Diesel Lover here

Let me start by telling you what I’ve done to the truck:

• New: APPS Sensor, ABS Sensor, VP44 Pump, AirDog (R3SBD100) Lift Pump
• Also: 100HP + injectors (including nuzzles)

No other upgrades (I know I need to upgrade my turbo/air intake)

Here is the problem, recently when I put it into gear (manual transmission) and started releasing the clutch the truck would rev up and move but not proportionally to the throttle, feels as if the engines revs up but the truck doesn’t respond after a few second and after I release the gas so it can gain momentum.

In other words my truck just doesn’t have the powaa, it just to have; any ideas why??? Clutch, trans, what….

Thanks all for the help (doesn’t throw any codes BTW)

Anybody? :choochoo:

I'm going to guess it's a bad clutch... perhaps contaminated, perhaps worn, perhaps stock, or perhaps all of the above. It wouldn't move at all if it was the tranny or any other part that was broken.

have to agree with RX7man, time to pull the tranny and see whats left of the clutch & pressure plate.

Thanks, I'll take her to the shop this weekend, hopefully i wont have to trow another 1000 for a new clutch, (would a double clutch be worth it?) I expect to have around 450hp after the new turbo...

Thanks!!

Or if there are any other ideas, please let me know:pca1:

When getting a clutch, you get what you pay for :c:

Its always best to over build than to get enough to maintain especially when it comes to a trans

Definatly a dual friction.

I hear the twin disc clutches have lighter pedal pressure, but are a little slower shifting because of the added weight. Apparently they aren't that much more money ($1200 or so?)
