Want opinions on programmer

Hey guys I have a 2000 ECLB 24v with the nv4500, 375xxx miles, and only paid $500 for it! I put a S&B cold air intake, pusher intake manifold, stock exhaust straight piped, boost and fuel pressure gauges. I just ordered a DTT assasin mechanical lift pump and DAP 160 horse injectors as well as a egt gauge. I was curious what the difference is between the edge ez vs edge comp as far as fueling and boost fooling and which one you guys would recommend. Maybe I don't even need one. I guess I'll find out when I get my lift pump and injectors installed.

It all depends on how much power you plan on making in the future. If you plan on going further I would go with the edge comp. I would also recomend going with the juice with attitude as well. The multitude of gauges and options are great. With the edge ez I dont think you can adjust low boost fueling but you can with the comp. You might also want to looking some more guages...fuel pressure is a must, boost, trans, as well as egt but you have listed that one.

I would eventually like more power, it's an addiction. The truck stock had pretty good power and the intake and exhaust woke it up a little. I think I'll go with the edge comp. since I already have mechanical gauges for fuel psi and boost and soon to be egt. Do you think I need a trans temp gauge on a manual trans?

Wouldnt hurt, the more you can monitor the better in my book.

If you thought it had good power stock, you're gonna loose your mind with a Comp :superman: No trans temp gauge needed.
Plan on a clutch pretty soon if yours is stock.

Yjay, do you think these injectors will wake it up quite a bit until I get the comp, I gotta wait awhile on the comp my wife's not to happy with me since I just bought a lift pump and injectors haha

I don't know how much they will do without boost fooling. Others would know more about that than me. Those are pretty big injectors for a stock turbo I'd say. You'll want to watch your EGT's. And the stock turbo isn't good for much more than 35psi. I have a buddy who hits 40, but it's pretty tough on them imo.

And I want pictures of this $500 truck. That's insane. Great deal no matter the condition.

Yeah I would eventually like to install a bigger turbo or mYbe twin turbos whatever might work better for truck that will tow every now and then, I'll post pics when I get home!
