No Start

Got another Cummins today but have a problem. I can't get the fricken thing to start. The guy I bought it from just rebuilt it. I think he wasn't too sure what he was doing. Because when I opened up the valve cover and checked the overhead adjustments. Found that the valve lash was way to tight and 4 injectors he had installed backwards. :argh: Fixed all that. Reset everything. Went to bleed the fuel lines at the head. Have great pressure going into the head from the pump. But can't get the stupid thing to fire. It has 3 codes. P0177, water in fuel. Drained the separator and added new fuel. P0112 and P0237. MAP and IAT sensor codes. Probably because they are both broken off. Any body have any idea or something basic I'm looking over? It cranks all day with the new batteries I installed. Just no fire. Any ideas would be helpful.

what kind of fuel pressure are you getting going into the fuel pump?
And have you done a compression check?

Try bluechipdiesel web site they have a very detailed troubleshooting page.

When my VP44 went out it could crank all day long but would not start no matter what.

Fetzel, thanks for that link, it's answered a lot of questions about a truck I'm working on.
