Default Terrible oil leak!!

Hi guys/gals,

I have a terrible oil leak coming from the drivers side and very rear upper part of motor close to where the head meets the block that i haven't been able to pin point as of yet. One question that I had was is there any chance that the head gasket could be leaking oil only at the back of the head? No coolant in oil or oil in coolant. it seems to be leaking worse when i have used the exhaust brake.

Also, I will be doing the tappet cover gasket replacement on my 01 this weekend and was just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions on anything else that could leak on that side that i should purchase a gasket for or reseal. My vacuum pump seals are not leaking. I have already done those.

Really appreciate any help and/or suggestions

The only thing I can think of on that side towards the back is that tappet cover and the plate for the stock fuel pump location. I'd check to see if that plate is leaking back there

behind the stock fuel pump bracket is a gasket and a hole in the block for a mechanical fuel pump. that is where I found my leak. easy to get to when changing tappet cover gasket
