APPS keeps going out

Hey guys. I am currently on my third apps sensor in the last 3 years with this truck. Every time I install I can't get the voltage to adjust, I have adjusted the throttle screw a little to get the truck where I need it to be and all seems fine for a little bit. Then the part begins to fail(hunting for gears) and I milk it along until it needs to be replaced, AGAIN.

I recently replaced the sensor again but this time I also ordered the noise isolator as well. Same story. Can't get the voltage to adjust. I did the proper program procedures before starting the truck. I still have pedal delay and weird shift points. Now as of yesterday the truck is not wanting to shift at all like normal. RPMs will climb until I back of the throttle and then it will shift. Drove it for a bit and it kept wanting to slip into a lower gear upon initial acceleration.

I have also checked all ground wires and secured the alternator wire to make sure there is no interference going on there. Anyone ever encountered something like this? What could be causing the truck to burn through APPS like this?

what codes are you getting? more than one thing can cause a "dead pedal"

Check out Mopar1973man's website. He has a video for checking AC feedback at the alternator due to bad diodes.

Thanks for your replies everyone.

I currently have a friend's OBDll hooked up to the truck and I am getting no codes. The truck will not shift from 2nd to 3rd unless I accelerate very slowly or back off the throttle when the rpms start to climb too much. I am not entirely sure if this is apps related or not. I performed the reset by disconnecting batteries and such but no improvement.

Now in regards to the issues I have with the apps and continue to have. When I install the part and go to adjust the voltage, I get no change in the voltage regardless of how far I turn the throttle screw in either direction. This last time I installed yet another one I did install a noise filter with it. I will check the alternator as suggested above. I had someone suggest cleaning all grounds on the truck which I am going to do. This got me thinking that my battery cables need to fixed/replaced do to loose fit on the battery posts. Could this be causing a electrical connectivity issue or short in the apps?
