infinity system upgrade
Hey all! I'm sure this has been discussed before but I haven't found enough information.
First a little background: my drivers door speaker went out and I am pretty sure the infinity amp is shot. What I want to do is bypass both door amps and install a new deck that will run the door speakers off existing wires. From what I have gathered is that I can just find the 2 wires going to each door speaker and tie those directly into the new head unit bypassing the amps all together. Had anyone heard or attempted this? Any help would be appreciated. |
Were are the amps mounted you will uave to run wires to the out side on the amp for that to work

Ive have always been told you would have to rewire the entire system in order to do it properly. Could be the audio shop trying to nickel and dime me too. Makes sense of what you said though. Wire around the amp and cut it out of the system. Good luck:c:

yes you will have to bypass the amp or swap that amp the amp is a powered pass through no power no sound if i were you i would get a four ch amp and run your front and rear preouts to it and run the wires to the speakers from there and get a 30$ amp install kit from walmart if you use a amp it will sound much nicer
