P-pump conversion problems
hey everyone, I have a p-pumped 24v and I'm having gauge problems, my speedo and tach and fuel gauge, i'm not sure if my fuel gauge is something to do with my fass pump, or sending unit, and i've been trying to figure out if the rest of the problem is my ecm or cam, sensor.:scare2:
any help or advice is appreciated. thanks |
Is the ecm still in the truck

yea, i relocated it and put a 12 valve front cover on it so i could use the cam postion sensor for my gauges, everything is hooked up and was working.
|
Did you replace just the front cover? The sensor on the front of the 12 valve covers is a crank position sensor. You need the cam sensor that was under the VP44 for the tach.
|
I swapped out the sensor for a 12v cam sensor. The local shop here (con artist i think) told me that I had to use a 12v sensor, not the 24v one...

No it you were supossed to make a relocating bracket for it i think you can buy them it just mounts it in a way so you can run a ppump
|
any idea where i can buy one?
|
Cummins performenc parts i think has them
