Rv 275 injectors

Hi folks,
Long time lurker here, learned a ton from this site over the last couple of years I've owned this diesel that I am growing to love and am slowly getting the bug to bomb it a bit. Don't want to do anything too crazy but modify it enough for extra power for packing and towing heavy weight and maybe get some better mileage out of her, although it's pretty darn good already.

Thinking of going with some 40 (Bosch RV275) or possibly 50 hp DAP injectors and an Edge EZ eventually. Sort of wondering about Edge Comp as well but feel a bit nervous about monkeying with the electronics on the only thing that really worries me on this engine..the vp. Seems to be pretty consistent reviews on 40-50 horse injector/edge ez combo.

Question I can't seem to find a definitive answer to is....do I need an egt gauge with only adding injectors of this size? Know that I should definitely when I add an edge to it..right now, would rather add injectors and deal with rest later unless these injectors might make it run too hot.

Thanks for any info you folks can provide.

Gauges would be one of my first investments.

Hey Luke, thanks for the response, is it your opinion that these trucks should be gauged when stock? I do have a fuel pressure gauge installed...so you would suggest all..boost and pyro?
