How to bleed the air after changing fuel filter help please
 

I changed my fuel filter and turned the key a few times to fill the housing with diesel. Truck ran for about 3 seconds and died out. I figured it was the air in the lines. I checked all around my injection pump theirs two valves one with the housing house going to it and one open with nothing on it but it doesn't look like a bleeder. I can't figure out what else to do to get the air out of the lines any help would be appreciated.

The way I usually do it. crack the injector lines loose, usually 1 and 3, turn the motor over until fuel starts coming out. Once its starts snug the lines back up. it'll run rough for a few seconds but will straighten out once the fuel gets up to par.

I would suggest loosening the the cap on your filter and bump start lit is most likly air at the top causeing a hydro lock if that works then crack open the line in going to vp bump agine and then you will be ok most.of the time when you do your filter the fuel drains back to just befor the pump this is were you normaly see hydro locking with the air in the filter ...

i usually leave the filter a tad loose, stick a 5 gallon bucket under it to catch the fuel, bump the starter, the pump will run and fill the filter, when it stops - tighten it. usually that does it. If not, you can crack the fuel line on the injection side of the pump and do the same thing, then tighten it.
