P0216 DTC - Injection Timing Control Circuit Malfunction

P1693 just means you have a code

Before you start throwing money at it, check and clean your battery terminals, as well as all of the ground connections in the engine bay. There are several. A bad ground will cause havoc with codes. Also make sure all plug-in connections are tight. I had the same issue a couple of years ago. I was sweat'n bullets. Turned out to be a bad ground to the ecm. I now make a point to clean all ground connections yearly. That tidbit of information was found in this forum. Best of all, it didnt cost me any money, just a little bit of time.

However, if it turns out to be your lift pump, address that immediately, before you burn out your injector pump.
