AirDog 150 Is Installed!

Well Mopar1973Man finally got a AirDog 150 for my truck. I got to admit it works great and the pressure is good and strong. I got it packed up against my transfer case to help protect it from road debris...

Here is my sad and tired looking old Carter Campaign pump (4090046)...

Then now my new AirDog 150...

It sure does tip the pressure gauge nicely now...

Yea it nice to finally get one... But I'm in debted to good Ol' Mom now for the $500 on the pump... Got start making payments to her or I'll get a :ouch: !!!

At first I though I missed a connection or wiried something wrong so I double checked all the connections and the instructions again. Trust me when the fuel started flowing you heard the AirDog a gruntin' and push air out...

It true I notice that when I had the ol' Carter Campaign at 10 PSI the timing and fueling rates where getting kind of weak. It was getting tough to even get a good cloud out of it on 5x5...

Now with the extra pressure I can heard a change in the timing and it sure does create a good cloud! Wow! I'm noticing a slight gain in fuel mileage now too... I'm able to hit 20-21 MPG rather easy now...

Here is the results from my trip to McCall, ID to go shopping and head home..

20.5 MPG...

3.33 Gallons Used...

68.4 Total Miles...

1.6 Hours of run time...
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/DSCF2626.jpg

Which cost me $14.30 at $4.299 a gallon to go shopping...

With my truck running you can barely hear the AirDog. You sure you're not sucking air somewhere?

This was the first time of priming up that I heard the gruntin' noise then after that is became quiet... I had the fuel line loosen on the back of my stock filter housing to bleed the line.

Now that the system is purged its very quiet...:w2:
