VP44 to P-Pump converison cost?
Hi Yall, recently I was on a road trip, and long story short, my lift pump was failed and my vp44 was toast too. So i replaced the vp44 from industrial injection and i put an airdog 100 lift pump. When this happens again as I now know these are a weak link. I was wondering if anyone here had done a conversion to a p-pump and what it actually costs after the kit and the pump. And will my airdog 100 be sufficient to fuel my p-pump?

Cummins Performance Parts CPP P7100 Conversion Kit 24v [Convert 24v to p-pump]
there is a kit with pretty much everything you need other than the injection pump itself...add another 1500 or so to that for the injection pump... you can also convert to VE pump. not near as powerful, but allows you to keep the variable timing. usually can buy a core pump for a few hundred and use that as the core to buy a pump... |
So will the airdog 100's 15psi fuel pressure be enough to fuel p-pump?
Thanks |

you'll want a 40psi spring for the regulator

why did you spend $2k on a new pump and fuel pump just to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $3500 more? your vp44 will last 100's of thousands of miles if you keep fuel pressure to it and in most cases be much more friendly on the road if your truck is making more than stock HP.
