HX35 Spin Test?

Am goofin off with the truck and went to turn my impeller by finger,it turns but I thought I remembered reading somewhere and people were talking about how many turns they get.Mine won't keep spinning and when I run the truck and shut if off it's stopped by the time I make my way around to look at it.Is this o.k. or is it an excuse to convince my wife that I need one of those "shiny new expensive spinny things"?

Don't run your truck without the filter sealed on it. Bad stuff happens quick doin this. The blades should turn free with your finger but I've never had one keep spinning without turning it even brand new. There should be only the slightest amount of forward and backward play if any at all and turn free with no sticking spots. When they wear out you will have the forward and backward pay on the shaft or will have sticky spots.

My turbo winds down for quite awhile after the key is turned off... Just about a full mintue till it stops...

After I shut the engine off, hot, if I get in front quick, I can see mine spin another 5 to 7 seconds...about the same with the HX35 stock. I guess a turbo with big wheels will spin longer due to their mass/inertia.
