parts in oil pan
 

Pulled off oil pan found chunk of aluminum polished smooth what looks 2 be s big dowel pin and small allen head screw any ideas guys

It ran fine when it was last run just pulling it apart 2 reseal it but now im scratching my head all that is left 2 remove is cam n crank so idk where they came from :humm:

That sounds like one of the screws holding the shutter wheel on the back of the cam gear (it is for the cam sensor). I had the shutter wheel come off and lodge behind the cam gear and the timing cover, had all sorts of metal in the oil pan and oil filter, I thought the engine was done for. Ended up buying a used gear and swapping the wheel onto my old cam gear.
