01 24 valve slight surge on highway?

Truck is an 01 factory auto with nv4500 swap. Bought truck for a toy. Recently while driving on the highway, i could feel a slight surge? The rpms never moved, but i could feel it. Now there are reciepts in the glovebox from 10/20/2009 for a raptor 150 lift pump and a reman vp44 injection pump, auto. Truck has a fuel pressure gauge but it is not the right one as it only goes up to 15psi and it doesnt work because it isnt hooked up right. Truck also throws a couple codes for the tranny swap. But also a P0460 which is something about a fuel circuit (fiel gauge dont work, i assume its just the sending unit/float assembly) and another code for a generic fault in the ecm or pcm i forget.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

P1693 is the generic fault code

Truck also idles fine, there is no smoke at all. Starts with no problem even in the cold when its not plugged in.

just my opinion but it might be a torque converter slipping a bit

Truck is a 5 speed buddy

My buddy had this happen to him and ended up being his alternator... just my 2 cents

Explain please. That makes no sense to me

He was getting irregular voltage out of his alternator making the computer freak out, he replaced his alternator and it fixed his problem. Of course that was done after he swapped his vp44 thinking it was that. I'd still get a fuel pressure gauge to see what your pressure is, thats huge with these trucks.

I'd say his issue was a faulty diode allowing AC voltage to pass through the bridge. Very simple test.

How do i test this? I doubt its a fuel issue because of how well it idles drives and starts in the cold

Fuel pressure should be checked every oil change at a minimum if you don't have a gauge. I'd say About 80% of the trucks with 0-5psi of fuel pressure we see, the owners are shocked because the truck ran great with no noticeable issues.
As far as a diode test its very simple A: Have a charging system test performed at a shop B: use a volt meter on the b+ terminal on the alternator and black to ground, watch the AC voltage. It should be below .5 VAC.
