control arms

so I am having a hell of a time getting my lower control arms cam bolts out. any tips?? or ideas?? I've already snapped the nut right off one just trying to get it off, so its a lost cause. actually pounding the bolt out is the hard part. I am at the point were I am going to just get new cam bolts from dodge and do whatever it takes to cut the old ones off my truck, use a sawzall or something. torch could be risky, catching the bushings on fire. I got new BDS control arms going in, with new heavy duty coils that add 2" and a 1'' coil spacer, and pro comp pro runner shocks. it should be pretty nice once its done.

thanks guys

Cut it with a saws all and replace it. It's the only way. There always stuck

Do yourself a favor when buying new bolts and buy the cam bolts that DOR sells, near the bottom of the page; DODGE OFF ROAD • Ram 4x4 Parts and Accessories Shackle Flip Brackets Joints

The factory bolts are made of a weak metal and I have experienced first hand the cams themselves stripping out when adjusting which can't be more annoying.

As far as removing the factory bolts, just pound away. :tu:

I had the same issue. I put the torch to them and cut the old bolts right off.
