Farm boy injectors??

I was curious if anybody runs these.... They are pretty cheap and was just wondering what they were like.. good? bad? :humm:

Probably junk

they were decent long ago, but I've heard quality has gone down...

best bang for the buck out there currently is DFI injectors.

(ducky fuel injection)

he is priced to compete with budget brands, but he is one of the top 3 injector builders out there.

in case you are wondering who I consider the top 3 to be: Weston (smokem), Chris (DFI), and Lee (contagious)

Wow.. DFI injectors are really reasonable. Would you guys buy them over a set of DDP's??

Yes

Luke can get your pricing.

I don't get on DB much anymore.

I've ran DDP 150's before...

the were smokey but made good power.

I've seen trucks with Chris' injectors in them and they made the same kind of power without the excessive smoke or idle haze.

Chris makes a top notch product :tu:

If I hadn't had my custom injectors built by Weston, then Chris would have been my next choice, and I send plenty of business his way because I know he makes an injector you will be happy with and he doesn't overcharge like DDP and some other places, and he stands behind his work :tu:

Ok I plan on getting a set of DFI's. I'm putting them in a 2000 with a FASS lift pump, edge comp, different wheel in turbo, and cold air intake and ATS transmission. What size should I get? I was thinking 100hp? I still want them to be reasonable enough to tow with, and with the thought of upgrading the turbo in the near future. And I wanted to try .093 tubes for better flow. Would that make much difference??

lukesdiesel 11-27-2013 07:32 PM

100s will be great.

Would DAP 125's be too much?

jigabop 11-29-2013 11:19 AM

.093 tubes are a waste of money. don't bother.

I run 6x.013 injectors with stock tubes

just to put 6x.013 into perspective: a 7x.010 is a "150hp injector" and a 6x.013 is slightly larger than a 7x.012.

7 hole injectors are considered more street friendly (less idle haze and less smoke) where a 6 hole injector is considered more of a competition injector (tends to haze at idle and run a little smokier, but has better throttle response and better performance under high boost conditions.)

125's aren't bad.

you can run 7x.010's with the stock turbo if you turn your fueling box down until you can manage to get a new turbo. (trust me when I say, you're not going to need to turn that fueling box up at all with 7x.010 injectors... you will have more power @ stock + those injectors than you had with stock injectors + your edge set to kill...

most people underestimate the power an injector can provide. and they also underestimate their turbo's ability to control smoke and heat so they fear putting injectors in...

run the edge on economy mode stock turbo set to 32-35psi and run the 7x.010s from DFI... you will LOVE IT!
