Auxiliary fuel tank install tips
I am about to buy an auxiliary tank for my truck and considering a couple different options and would like some opinions on what you guys think would be better.
There is the gravity feed option and if i go with that what would be the best filtering option between the bed tank and the tank in the truck. Then i have to option to hard line it into the fuel system and run it on a switch so that i can go between the bed tank and the truck tank if i need to any ideas, tips,or opinions would be greatly appreciated |
i got an transferflow and its automated or i can control it. low pressure pump and filter inline before it taps into my filler neck hose. really depends on what you want to do.

I have a 100 gallon aux. L shaped tank in the back of my truck. I decided just to run a FillRite pump w/fuel filter on it, just to make it easy to fill up the Bobcat, put heating oil in the shop tank, or need to fill up a friends truck. It only take 5 minutes to fill up my truck, and I didn't have to drill a hole in my bed for the fuel line, or mess with fuel lines into existing tanks (Simplicity is king)
Sorry I couldn't give advice on pumping your tank into your already existing fuel lines. |
