Lift Pump?

I am going to be in the market for a new lift pump soon. I have been looking at the Airdog 100gph and the fass titanium 95gph systems. These are the two that i have narrowed it down to. What one would be better for my truck with the mods I have? Do i need to get a bigger pump like a 165 or 150? Thanks in advance.

depends on what kind of power you plan on in the future...

I knew already that I wasn't going to leave well enough alone, so I bought an airdog150 4+ years ago. glad I did because a 100GPH wouldn't be keeping up with my truck.

general rule of thumb: 95-100GPH is good for up to 450hp in mods... 500+ should be using a 150GPH fuel system or better.

that said...if you aren't at that power yet, it doesn't hurt to run the bigger pump. they do have pressure regulators to keep pressure in the safe zone. just means they can handle higher fuel demands should there be a need for such demand... :c:

I am also partial to the FASS systems since airdog changed to those junk quick connect fittings in recent years. I trust the JIC fittings more which years ago when I bought mine, airdog used to use, but now only fass uses them. :pca1:

Fass Titanium 150gph is a great choice.

What about the Fass Platinum series pump? has someone used this one before? Is it any good with just one filter acting as the water separator and the fuel filter?

The Titanium uses two filters. The single filter setup is the Fass Platinum.

personally I would rather have the dual filter setup. better filtration and helps protect the pump.

the duel filter systems pre-filter the fuel with the water separator/screen filter to catch debris before they hit the pump. then after the pump they are filtered again down to 2-7microns (depending on what filter you use)

Does anybody know where to get a good deal on a fass titanium 165 system

jigabop 11-01-2013 11:38 AM

any vendor that offers free shipping...

fass and airdog both price lock the vendors...so all vendors must sell for the same price.

Jacob from DAP (diesel auto power) is a good vender to deal with, as is jamie from CPP (cummins performance parts)
