I will be getting that one thank you. Took the truck to my friends dad who's a diesel mechanic. Says its blowing blue smoke. I'm burning oil thru the valve seals. Which my truck came with brand new ones in the glove box. And I have a tps signal voltage is low. And my map sensor voltage is low. So would a bad map,or apps throw a p0216?

no.

map just tells it how much fuel to add in relation to boost.

apps tells it how much throttle you are giving it.

neither will have an effect on timing.

timing will be more effected by IAT readings. but improper IAT readings won't cause a 0216 code... that code is caused when the VP44 is having issues with its on-board control module which is not serviceable.

only other possibility would be a bad ECM, but that would throw a lot more codes than just a p0216, map, and apps code...

Thank you alot for helping me you have been most helpful. The only thing about my ecm thats weird is im getting a cruz control code? I dont have cruz control at all?
