single to dually

ok simple question.. can I put dually rims on my single wheel rear truck? I don't see why not... I will buy a spacer that will allow me to bolt these on my truck I am running a flat bed that was meant for dually any how.. is it as simple as the right rims and the spacer?

No. A SRW axle is not meant for a DRW set-up even with a spacer to clear the brakes. Reason is because the DRW wheels are hub-centric, where as your SRW are lug-centric. If you use a spacer to push the inside wheel out, both of the dual wheels will not be aligned on the hub to properly fit them.

Yes of course the wheels will bolt up if you choose to run a set-up like that, I HIGHLY suggest NOT going that route.

Your best bet will be to find DRW Dana 80 to drop in your truck which would be all bolt on. If your truck came with that 6 speed, you should already have the Dana 80 Hybrid under there so you won't have to worry about modifying your rear drive shaft since the center sections are the exact same.

Craigslist.. I seem them on there all the time, and have sold a few myself. I would expect to see a factory Dana 80 DRW sell for $400 - $550. If you find one though, it'll be a straight bolt up, depending on which year you get, any earlier than 01' you'll have drum brakes.
