So this guy has a 02 2500 quad cab long bed sport model it is 4x4 and 6 speed, the body is a little rough, the drivers door is dented pretty bad, as well as passenger bed side, and roof is smashed down in the left rear corner and it broke the window, power windows, locks, cruise, air, however it dosent have 2nd gear for that should i just get a good transmission or just a rebuild kit, or would it be worth the $4k buy? :pca1:

How many miles? 53 block? Mods?

Cumminsman911 09-29-2013 09:29 PM

346k miles, no 53 block, all stock

Sounds like strong money for that kind of mileage with those problems to me. Figure the motor is pretty worn, probably over a grand to fix the tranny, quite a bit of money to fix the body. I personally would pass.

you're not going to rebuild that transmission. NV5600 is not user serviceable. everything is press fit and requires custom tooling and a large press. Not to mention trying to find part for them is extremely difficult.

better off and money ahead buying a rebuilt trans like I did. got mine for under $3k and sent my core in.
