Yep, there is such an item:
4x4 Posi-Lok Positive Axle Engagement System for Dodge 4x4s

This is one I found. Personally, I would fix the vacuum line rather than do the kit. Much cheaper tot fix than replace, and they don't fail that often.

I have the Posi-lok on mine. works great + you get the added benefit of low range 2wd which is very handy for backing up trailers with a dual disc clutch!!! :tu:

I removed and plugged off the vacuum lines going to the axle. posi-lok ensures solid axle engagement with no guessing whether it is engaged or not, and no having it go in and out on you. Definitely recommend it.

When I was looking for a truck, I test drove a truck with this kit on it. I kinda like it, and didn't like it all at the same time. I'd fix what you have. alot cheaper. and if you like the 2wd low, There are ways to by pass the vacuum. via egr/boost solenoid. I have one that when I flip a switch is causes the front diff to not engage, but I have 2wd low range for backing up trailers.

Cool thank you for the info I read a couple reviews which said the same thing about being able to be in 2low and being able to shift on the fly from 4 to 2 but wanted to hear it from someone on here that has it. when I bought the truck the guy said the 4x4 don't work the line broke and he plugged it living in Arizona plastic lines don't last very long.

Just an FYI, 2Lo can be obtained without a posi-loc. The long way is to unplug the vac line under the hood, and plug the vac supply. 2 Lo just like that. The other way is with a vacuum switch:

Yeap what Raw posted up, BUT instead of a boost solenoid, get the egr solenoid from same type of car. Why, its because it is a normally open valve. so that allows you to operate your 4wd just like factory intended. Flip the switch it cuts out the vacuum which will disengage the front diff. and you won't have to have the switch on for very long. Its just for ease of the duty cycle on the solenoid. Because it will only be turned on, while you want to have it in 2wd low range. A normally closed which will have to stay on for the duration you want 4wd. If like me I sometimes run my truck for long periods of time in 4wd. So thats why I chose the normally open valve. hope that isn't to confusing.

That's a great point, thanks for bringing it up. I just remembered we had a thread on doing that mod, and shared it.:c:

I would fix the stock set up also I like the idea of less things turning in 2wd, The stock set up is fine when working right, you can always modify foe 2wheel - lo
