Throwing a lot of Codes and "Surging"

Hey I'm new in the diesel world recently bought a 2001 Dodge Cummins; I've wanted one since I was younger. I love the truck, I drove it 3 and a half hours home, had no problems. I've had it for maybe 3 weeks at the most. I've learned about cycling the key 3 times to bring out codes. Its reading.. P 1693.. "stored codes?" P 0230.. "transfer pump?" P 0237.. "MAP sensor failure?" P 0234.. "stuck closed waste gate?" I've researched the codes and the writing in quotation marks are the code meanings I've found (correct me if they're wrong). The problem with the truck is it surges (Cuts out kinda limping as if I'm softly romping on it). when it's not warmed up (it only does it in drive..) When it's in park and neutral its revs up no problem, no sputtering at all. I've recently put a FASS DPR lift pump on it. I have no idea whats going on and need help ASAP.. All advice is accepted.. People have told me that just one of the codes could be causing all the other codes to arrive I just don't know which code is the serious problem.

do you have a fuel pressure gauge on there?

if not get one ASAP. transfer pump = lift pump.

I don't have a fuel pressure gauge. But if i get one and it's not good enough fuel pressure does that mean I most likely have a bad injector pump because I just put a new lift pump on it. And what should the fuel pressure read at average?

Fuel pressure should be above 10 psi at WOT and ideally needs to stay between 14-16 psi through out the fuel curve.

Thanks! I will check into getting a fuel pressure gauge. A buddy and I cleaned the MAP sensor truck is runnin like a top hopefully everything stays well.:rocking:

I run 20psi idle and never below 16psi WOT.
