I gotta say your right on this one :U: |
the tranny fluid still has a little reddish color to it. If the clutches are burnt is there a way to tell or should there be a huge mess in the pan? just curious if there is a possibility of getting lucky or not.. in my case lucky never really happens but we can all hope. if the clutches are burnt etc would the truck run and drive like normal? I don't know a whole lot about automatics well transmissions in general and i appreciate the help.

If the clutches are burnt then its only a matter of time.

is there a way to tell if they are burnt?

Not without pulling the trans apart. Who built it?
|
build by a local guy that worked for a dodge dealer. I am thinking of adding a valve body to it and seeing how she runs for a while. I posted on the issue when it first happened on the other site I am on and there was no mention about a valve body change. After I left the trailer at the poperty I drove the truck home and drove it today with no issues. all shifts fine and locks up.

not sure if I have fixed the issue yet as now I have to get the converter sent out and fixed but thats in the works.
