24v worth the money?

So I've been looking in the market for a 2nd gen 24v. The ones I've been looking at have around 170,000-180,000 miles and they're automatic. My price range is maxed at 15k. These trucks that I've seen are around 12k-14k. Is that a reasonable price and is it worth it to buy?

I'd be using the truck for a daily driver and to haul not so large loads. Maybe 12,000 lbs. I dont want it for crazy HP or crazy torque. I've heard so much how bad the auto transmissions are but I've also heard they are bad because te people don't take care of them. Also I've heard about the fuel pump.

So again, should I buy a 2nd gen 24v? And are those prices good for the miles?

Bit of a hike then. From what I'm seein I'd say that's a pretty common price for these trucks. I'm tryin to get 12,500 for mine
