1998 dodge ram 24v losing prime

Hi all my second post in here! First one have been solved quick and easy! Hope this one will be the same! :p anyway if the truck is sitting for a couple of hour it won't restart unless I cycle the key a lot to prime the fuel system! Any idea of where to check first?

Also the converter won't lock it just try to lock half a second and unlock instantly and never seem to lock otherwise!!! Any thing to check? There's a lot of thread on the noise of the alternator but since he never seem to lock not sure if it is the trouble...

I would suspect a faulty check valve in the lift pump and your fuel is bleeding back. Not sure what to tell you on your trans, other than make sure your fluid level is ok and to try the noise isolator

Could have a small air leak in the fuel line.

Also I had the same problem as you have with the trans. I bought a BD noise filter to correct the issue. Once you get it connected to the vehicle get a can of battery terminal cleaner and a can of terminal sealer. Dont be stengy with either. Once you get them clean tighten the crap out of them on the battery. Use best judgement on the torque specs. Mine has gone away for now.
