Tranny upgrade
#4
I would look into a billet flex plate(Not necessarily a must but I would do it to be safe) upgraded torque converter and valve body. As for the interiors of the tranny, sites like alligator performance and XDP have a variety of kits, gears and shafts for you to choose from and from different companies. You can give them a call and they will help you out with everything!! I would also look into a deep tranny pan. oh.... and check out the quotes page in diesel bombers and put in what you want a quote on and you can get some competitive prices there.

transmissions and tranny parts is what ATS and suncoast are known for, but BD diesel makes a very good product as well. Another brand is REVMAX, I bought my father a torque converter and valve body from them and its performed very well. We have towed a 30,000lb semi and haven't had any problems on his 3500 drw cummins. But its really up to you on which company, they are all very close in quality and have warranties. Make sure you get a billet torque converter, they are very strong. As for the stall speed on the torque converter and valve body you need to talk to which ever company you are ordering from and they can get you set up correctly!

I'm an ATS dealer and let me tell you we put a couple of those trannys through the ringer and they came out on top every time. The only time we had one fail was on a 6.0 shifted into 4th so hard it snapped the input shaft but it wasnt the upgraded billet put the billet shafts in and the truck went on to do truck pulls, tons of four wheel launches, tug o wars all kinds of stupid things and chirped 4th.
