Ghost Horn
So I'm in the garage working on my hot rod when a horn beeps. Sounded rather close. Ten mins later I hear it again. I ask my buddy "Was that my truck? I walk over and hit the horn, works normal. Five mins later the horn turns on again and stays on. I had to pop the hood and pull the relay out. Put in a spare relay and the horn turns back on. Check the horn connections at the horn-seem fine. Steering wheel momentary switch seems fine. Put the relay back in and the horn is fully stuck on. Ideas please. Not sure what the prob could be. Thanks.

Does your steering wheel have the two buttons liek my 97 does?
When i use mine, my button gets stuck in the steering wheel, just a thought. |

And my truck does not have the separate horn buttons. Just the one large in the center of the wheel. Which seems to be ok. |
If you pull the steering wheel you will see the clock spring. They cant run wires directly to the buttons on the steering wheel because obviously the would get wound up when you turn the wheel, so power to the horn buttons and air bag go through the clock spring. I don't really know a lot about it other than you wanna disarm the airbag before messing with it. :c:
